Javier Chacón Morales

Javier Chacón has more than eleven years of experience in litigation and arbitration, having developed his professional career in top-tier law firms such as CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo, and currently at WHITEWELL.

He is an expert in the resolution of civil and commercial disputes before Spanish courts as well as in commercial arbitration proceedings before major national and international arbitration institutions, including the Madrid Court of Arbitration (CAM), the Spanish Court of Arbitration (CEA), the Civil and Commercial Court of Arbitration of Madrid (CIMA), and the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), among others.

He has solid experience in complex and high-value proceedings, particularly in contractual matters (construction and engineering projects, energy, transport, infrastructure, and real estate) and corporate matters (shareholder disputes, challenges to corporate resolutions, and directors’ liability).

 

He also participates in proceedings for the recognition, enforcement, and annulment of arbitral awards.

 

In addition, he has extensive experience in insolvency law and regularly advises both debtors and creditors at all stages of insolvency proceedings and in particularly complex incidental claims.

 

His hobbies include padel, football, and gastronomy.
