Morad Maanan Tieb
Morad Maanan has over eleven years of experience in corporate and commercial law, having developed his professional career at leading national and international law firms such as Clifford Chance and Roca Junyent, and currently at WHITEWELL. In recent years, he has been recognised by legal directories as a leading lawyer under 40 in Spain and Portugal in the field of mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
He specialises in corporate and M&A transactions, with additional experience in post-M&A litigation, regulated sectors and real estate transactions. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in the renewable energy sector and, very significantly, in the sports & entertainment industry, having led some of the most relevant acquisitions of cultural venues in Spain in recent years. He also provides regulatory advice and acts as external general counsel to both domestic and international companies.
He regularly advises international and Middle Eastern clients across a wide range of industries. His practice frequently includes advising investors, entrepreneurs, startups and private entities on all types of business projects. He has also represented buyers and sellers in a broad range of real estate transactions, including multifamily residential, self-storage, agricultural, office, industrial, hotel, retail and sale-leaseback transactions.
Clients rely on his negotiation skills and business-oriented approach when addressing complex legal issues in the context of commercial transactions. He is known for being a business lawyer focused on delivering practical and effective solutions.
He combines his professional practice with academic activity, mainly in postgraduate programmes. He has lectured on advocacy and legal skills at Universidad San Pablo-CEU, University of Navarra and ISDE Business School, and regularly advises NGOs and non-profit organisations on a pro bono basis.
His personal interests include reading, gastronomy, football, golf and boxing.
